Officers
Alisa Wilson - Board Chair
Alisa Jo Wilson is a retired kindergarten teacher and a proud lifelong resident of Parke County, having spent most of her life in the Montezuma area. She holds a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Indiana State University and an M.S. in Education from Indiana Wesleyan University.
Alisa describes Parke County as “God’s Country”—a beautiful, historic, and welcoming place that offers an unforgettable experience to residents and visitors alike. Her appreciation for the county’s charm, its iconic covered bridges, and its strong sense of community inspires her service with the Parke County Community Foundation. As the current Board Chair, she has been involved with the Foundation since 2019, serving on several committees and especially valuing her time on the Scholarship Committee. She believes deeply in the lasting impact scholarship support has on individual students and the community as a whole.
Beyond her work with PCCF, Alisa is active in local organizations. She attends Hopewell Friends Quaker Meeting, where she serves as a trustee, and is a board member of the Montezuma Public Library. She is also a member of the Parke/Vermillion Retired Teachers and the Parke County Historical Society, and is a three‑time past First Lady of the Rockville Elks Lodge #2471.
Alisa and her husband, Paul, enjoy life surrounded by their twelve grandchildren and love attending the many activities they are involved in.
Bill Livers - Vice Chair
William Livers is a semi‑retired school psychologist currently serving part‑time with the Wabash River Student Services Cooperative. He also enjoys supporting Indiana State University Athletics as an usher. William spent more than 35 years as the elementary school social worker for Southwest Parke Community School Corporation, bringing deep experience in student support, counseling, and family services. He holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Southern Illinois University–Edwardsville and a Master’s in Social Work from IUPUI, and is licensed by the Indiana Department of Education as a School Counselor, School Social Worker, and School Psychologist.
William moved to Parke County in 1985 to work as a clinical therapist at Hamilton Center and began his long tenure with Southwest Parke Schools in 1989, retiring at the end of 2024. He has volunteere with the Parke County Community Foundation for several years, serving on multiple committees and now on the Board of Directors. He values the generosity and commitment of Parke County residents and the Foundation’s impact on strengthening the community.
In addition to his Foundation service, William volunteers with the Rosedale food pantry. He is married to Tina Hills‑Livers, and together they have two children, Adam and Sarah.
Rick Hobbs - Treasurer
A lifelong Parke County resident, Rick Hobbs brings more than 35 years of leadership, education, public service, and community involvement to the Community Foundation. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Indiana State University and a Master of Science in School Administration and Supervision from Purdue University, he dedicated his career to the Lafayette School Corporation, serving 15 years as a fifth- and sixth-grade teacher and 20 years as an elementary school principal.
Throughout his career, he also served 20 years as a School Hearing Officer, 15 years as a School Safety Specialist helping develop and oversee corporation-wide safety programs, and completed extensive graduate coursework and specialized training in school law. In addition, he spent 14 years as President of the Lafayette Police Department’s Board of Police Commissioners and is a Certified First Responder.
Born and raised on a family farm near Marshall, Indiana, he continues to farm with his three younger brothers in the Marshall and Bloomingdale areas. Following his retirement, he sought new opportunities to serve Parke County and found a natural fit with the Community Foundation. Drawing on decades of experience in budgeting, finance, and personnel management, he joined the Finance Committee and now serves as Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors.
As he approaches seven years of service with the Foundation, he remains inspired by the generosity of Parke County donors and committed to helping steward and grow the Foundation’s assets for future generations. He believes the Foundation’s success is made possible by the many dedicated individuals who work together to create lasting opportunities and positive impact throughout the community.
Janett Allen - Secretary
Janett Allen is a retired Registered Nurse who earned her BSN from Indiana State University and spent her career in Maternal and Family Health with Union Health Group in Terre Haute. A lifelong resident of Parke County, Janett’s love for its people, small communities, and natural surroundings has shaped both her professional life in the Wabash Valley and her deep commitment to local service.
After retiring, Janett sought opportunities to become more involved in her home community, and the Foundation’s Scholarship Program quickly captured her interest. She considers it an honor to have served on the Scholarships Committee and to now serve as Board Secretary, a member of the Grants Committee, and part of the Rockville Forever Committee.
Janett is active throughout Parke County. She is a member of Rockville Christian Church, chairs the Women of Service, and serves on the Day Care Board. She and her husband, Andy, volunteer with the Parke County Food Pantry, where she also serves as treasurer. Janett is a member of the Clinical Standards Committee for Valley Professionals Community Health and the Rockville Woman’s Club, and she enjoys being a “Reading Neighbor” for second graders at Rockville Elementary School.
Janett and Andy have two daughters, three grandsons, and two sons‑in‑law—grandchildren she happily describes as “the best.” Each summer, she raises and releases Monarch butterflies, often nurturing 60–70 caterpillars through their transformation before releasing them back into nature.
Board Members
Andrew Akers
Andrew Akers is the Director of the Parke County Public Library, where he oversees daily operations and leads growth initiatives guided by board goals and the library’s strategic plan. His career began in retail management before transitioning into library services, where he managed circulation and customer service departments prior to becoming director. Andrew holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from Hanover College and a Master’s in Information and Library Science from Indiana University.
Born and raised in Parke County, Andrew values the hardworking, close‑knit nature of the community and appreciates the way residents consistently step up to support one another. Serving on the Parke County Community Foundation Board allows him to use his professional experience to give back to the place that shaped him. He contributes his time on the Asset Development, Governance & Facilities committee. Andrew has previously served on the Foundation’s Scholarships committee as well.
Andrew previously served on the board of Wabash Valley Habitat for Humanity, continuing his commitment to community service and local impact.
Kevin Callans
Kevin Michael Callahan is a retired business and manufacturing professional whose career with Snap‑on specialized in management, manufacturing, and distribution. He has lived in Parke County since 1988 and values the community, its people, and the unique environment that makes the county home.
Kevin serves on the Parke County Community Foundation Board of Directors and contributes his expertise on the Finance Committee. His community involvement extends across several organizations, including the Montgomery Study Board, Sons of the American Legion Post 48, the Parke County Board, and the Sportsmanship Board.
Kevin and his wife, Brenda, enjoy life on their Callahan Goat Ranch, where they raise goats, rabbits, and pigs. He also enjoys mowing, brewing, landscaping, and design—interests that keep him active and connected to the place he loves.
Allen Cobb
Allen Cobb serves as Director of Finance for Valley Professionals Community Health Center, where he oversees the accounting functions of 12 clinics, as well as five pharmacies operated by JR Pharmacy. A graduate of Indiana State University, Allen earned bachelor’s degrees in both Accounting and Business Education. His diverse career includes work in his family’s construction business, 19 years managing automobile dealerships, service as an auditor for the Indiana State Board of Accounts, and more than three decades operating his own tax preparation business.
A lifelong resident of Parke County, Allen has lived in Montezuma his entire life and is dedicated to serving his community. He spent 16 years on the Montezuma Town Council and currently serves on the Board of Partnership Parke County. Allen serves on the Parke County Community Foundation’s Board as well as the Finance Committee and is pleased to contribute his financial expertise in support of the Foundation’s mission.
Allen has been married to his high school sweetheart for 35 years. Together they have two sons, a daughter, and two grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, playing golf, and enjoying the comforts of home.
Donna Eslinger
Donna Eslinger serves as the Sr. Branch Office Administrator at Edward Jones in the office of Jessica Lynk, bringing more than 16 years of experience with the firm and a diverse background that includes banking, administrative leadership, and service as a church secretary.
A lifelong resident of Parke County, Donna has called the community home for 53 years. Her deep roots and love for the county inspire her commitment to preserving its history, strengthening its vitality, and supporting the people who live here. When invited to join the Parke County Community Foundation Board, she considered it an honor and quickly embraced the opportunity to serve. She currently contributes her time and insight on both the Board and the Grants Committee.
Donna is also active in the broader community. She is involved in her home church, Rockville Christian Church, volunteers with the Parke Vermillion Community Pregnancy Center—where she has also served on the board—and has held various regional leadership roles with Edward Jones.
Donna and her husband, Jeff, have been married for 35 years. They have two sons, Jakob (Savanna) and Nathan (Lyndsy), and are proud grandparents to five grandchildren: Claire, Henry, Derek, Lily, and Ava. She enjoys baking, reading, and dancing, and loves sharing the fun fact that all three of her granddaughters were born on her birthday.
Thomas Hardesty
Thomas Hardesty serves as a Business Development Associate with Joink, where he works with businesses and organizations to identify internet and voice solutions that meet their needs. He brings a diverse professional background that includes education, journalism, information technology, and business development. A graduate of Indiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in English Teaching, Thomas taught at an alternative school before working as a sportswriter and later transitioning into the technology field. He has been with Joink for nine years and holds CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications.
Thomas has lived in Parke County for all but seven years of his life and is passionate about supporting the community he calls home. Inspired by the generosity and dedication of local residents, he joined the Parke County Community Foundation to help support organizations and individuals working to improve the quality of life throughout the county. He currently serves on the Foundation’s Board of Directors and Grants Committee.
In addition to his service with the Foundation, Thomas and his wife are active members of Cross Lane Community Church, where they volunteer in a variety of roles. He has also volunteered with the United Way of the Wabash Valley’s Real Men Read program, sharing his love of reading with local students.
Thomas and his wife have been married for fourteen years and are the proud parents of three children. In his free time, he enjoys art, comic books, listening to and playing music, and tinkering with vintage electronics. He jokes that due to his lack of sense of direction, if he is ever late to a meeting, it is probably because he got lost along the way.
Brent Irelan
Brent Irelan serves as a Correctional Captain at Rockville Correctional Facility, where he leads H‑Bracket as Shift Commander. With responsibility for daily operations, staffing, safety, communication, and oversight, Brent is known for his open‑door leadership style and commitment to supporting both staff and offenders. His career in corrections began at age 18 and has included roles with the Parke County Jail, Newport Chemical Depot, and the Parke County Sheriff’s Department, where he served nine years as a reserve officer before becoming a Special Deputy/SRO. Since returning to Rockville Correctional Facility in 2011, he has advanced through the ranks to Captain and completed extensive supervisory and behavioral‑recognition training, including NASRO certification.
A lifelong resident of Parke County, Brent is driven by a desire to give back to the community where he and his family live. He serves on the Grants Committee and the Board of Directors for the Parke County Community Foundation, viewing the role as an opportunity to contribute in meaningful new ways.
Brent remains active in local service as a Special Deputy/SRO with the Parke County Sheriff’s Department and as a long‑time member of Promoting Positive Culture in Corrections (PPCC).
He and his high school sweetheart have built a family together with three sons and one daughter—his greatest motivation for investing in the future of Parke County. An avid hunter and fisherman, Brent enjoys spending time outdoors with his children and watching their passion for nature and sports grow. Though quiet by nature, he is always willing to help—whether offering support, lending a hand, or simply being someone others can talk to.
Patricia Lohrmann
Patricia Lohrmann—known to most as Tisha—is a retired English and composition teacher who spent 35 years at Rockville High School. She holds a Master’s Degree plus 30 hours from Indiana State University and also taught composition courses at the Rockville Correctional Facility as an ISU adjunct instructor.
A lifelong resident of Parke County, Tisha believes deeply in the value of small‑community living and in working to ensure the county meets the needs of all who call it home. Her first involvement with the Parke County Community Foundation was through the Scholarship Committee, where she loved helping local students pursue their dreams. She later joined the Board of Directors and now also serves on the Grants Committee, continuing her commitment to supporting meaningful projects throughout the county.
Tisha has a long history of community service, including 12 years on the Parke County Library Board and 15 years participating in the TALKS mentoring program. She and her husband, Greg, have been married for 58 years and have two children and two grandchildren.
In retirement, Tisha earned her second‑degree black belt in Taekwondo and she and Greg have trained together at 7th Street Gym in Clinton for 15 years. They also create button‑art crafts sold at Bloomfields and participate in the modified class at the Newport Hill Climb with their 1920 Model T speedster. At home, they live by a simple shared philosophy: there’s no such thing as too many books or too many tools.
Jen Pendleton
Jen Pendleton brings nearly 30 years of nonprofit leadership and community foundation experience to the Parke County Community Foundation Board. Throughout her career, she has served as a charitable foundation executive and consultant, most notably as CEO of the Community Foundation of Boone County, where she worked to strengthen philanthropy, support community initiatives, and help donors create lasting local impact.
Although Parke County was a favorite destination for her family throughout her childhood, Jen has called it home full-time since 2016. She appreciates the county’s strong sense of community, natural beauty, outdoor recreation opportunities, and the friendships she has built here. Her professional experience working with community foundations inspired her desire to continue serving through board leadership and community engagement.
Jen was honored to join the Foundation’s Board of Directors. She values the opportunity to support the Foundation’s mission and has enjoyed watching its continued growth and impact.
In addition to her community involvement, Jen owns and operates 51 Bridges CrossFit in Rockville, an award-winning fitness center recognized by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation as Indiana’s 2025 Rural Small Business of the Year.
Jen lives on Raccoon Lake with her husband and their two dogs. In her free time, she enjoys boating, hiking, camping, and spending time outdoors.
Sheila Rohr
Sheila J. Rohr is a retired educator and elementary principal whose career spanned multiple school districts, including Rockville Community Schools, New Albany Schools, North Central Parke Community Schools, and Greencastle Community Schools. She holds a B.S. in Special Education and Elementary Education, an M.S. in Elementary Education from Indiana University, certification in Corrective Reading, and licensure in Elementary School Administration.
A Parke County resident for 60 years, Sheila enjoys connecting with the people of the community and supporting organizations that preserve local history while enriching the county’s future. Her belief in the Parke County Community Foundation’s long‑standing impact—helping students, organizations, and individuals—motivated her to join the Board of Directors. She contributes her time on the Asset Development, Governance & Facilities, and Fall Event committees.
Sheila is active in community service as a member of Tri Kappa Associates and a Reading Neighbor through United Way. Her past involvement includes Tri Kappa Active, the Parke County Library Board, and the United Way of the Wabash Valley Board.
Sheila and her husband, Tom, have four daughters living across four states—Abbea (Ohio), Emily (Indiana), Amy (Florida), and Ellen (Colorado)—and three grandsons: Max, Brooks, and Malek. She enjoys traveling, reading, tending her flowers, and reading to any child who will listen. A fun tradition in the Rohr household: for more than 30 years, every family pet has had a name beginning with the letter “M.”
