Non-Traditional Scholarships

Parke County Community Foundation offers scholarships to Parke County residents ages 25 or older who are beginning or completing a college degree or certification. Applications for these scholarships are available during our Summer Scholarship Cycle which runs from June 1st to July 1st annually. Most of these scholarships have no specific field of study requirement; therefore, any adult wishing to start or continue their education is encouraged to apply.

Non-Traditional Scholarships Offered:
Mary E. Stanley Nursing

(First preferences is to an adult) – In honor of Mary E. Stanley, this scholarship will be awarded to nursing majors (L.P.N., nurse’s aid or related associate degree or certification), with special consideration given to those who may be pursing nursing as a later in life career choice.
Nursing Majors only.

Accounting Majors only.

Billy G. and Linda Hill Scholarship Fund (Available Starting in 2027)

The scholarship is open to graduating seniors and prior graduates of Rockville High School/Parke Heritage High School (or its successor), including GED seekers residing in Parke County. It supports individuals pursuing further education, training, or certification to gain skills that lead to self-sufficiency through employment, advancement, or self-employment. Priority is given to past recipients continuing their education, with preference for non-traditional students over 25 and undergraduates under 25 applying in the summer cycle. Additional consideration is given to applicants facing personal, medical, or financial challenges.
